Stainless Steel 443 Pipes are manufactured from a ferritic stainless steel containing 18–20% chromium and minor amounts of molybdenum and titanium. This alloy is known to improve corrosion resistance, especially against stress corrosion cracking and pitting in chloride-containing environments. These pipes possess an average tensile strength of 450–600 MPa and yield strength of about 250 MPa, with a good formability and weldability. The addition of titanium stabilizes the structure during welding and high-temperature service. Stainless Steel 443 provides better performance than conventional 400-series alloys, particularly in corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, and surface finish.
