Stainless Steel 409L Pipes are composed of a low-carbon ferritic stainless steel containing 10.5–11.7% chromium, with reduced carbon levels that improve weldability and minimize carbide precipitation. The alloy offers moderate tensile and yield strength, along with good ductility for easier forming and fabrication. While corrosion resistance is lower than higher-chromium grades, 409L performs well in mildly corrosive and high-temperature environments.
