Stainless Steel 904L Welded Tubing contains high levels of nickel, chromium, and molybdenum, with added copper for its increased resistance to strong acids. It generally consists of 19–23% Cr, 23–28% Ni, 4–5% Mo, and 1–2% Cu for great corrosion stability. The mechanical properties of 904L Tubing are excellent in toughness, minimum tensile strength of about 490 MPa, and yield strength around 220 MPa. The alloy retains sufficient ductility, weldability, and formability for applications requiring high temperatures, corrosive chemicals, and chloride environments.
