Aluminium 5005 tubing contains approximately 0.8-1.1% magnesium as its main alloying element, along with small amounts of silicon (up to 0.2%), iron (0.4%), copper (0.05%), manganese (0.25%), chromium (0.1%), zinc (0.25%), and titanium (0.15%). It offers typical tensile strengths of 150-200 MPa, yield strengths around 100-125 MPa, elongation above 4%, and hardness in the range of 30-55 HB depending on temper. The alloy has a density of about 2.69 g/cm³, thermal conductivity around 160-220 W/m.K, and excellent electrical conductivity suitable for various industrial uses.
